Inlays and Onlays
Inlays and onlays are used for large, unsightly fillings or heavily decayed teeth to be restored with a strong, long-lasting restoration. New advancement in dentistry have enabled us to use stronger glues so that the inlays or onlays become one with the tooth. Tooth coloured ceramic is normally the material used, leaving your tooth with a very aesthetic appearance.
Commonly they can be used as an alternative to crowns. They are much quicker so your mouth won’t need to stay open for as long as crown preparation and fit appointments. Their computer design means they match your teeth perfectly. Inlays and onlays are ideal to prevent your natural tooth from breaking or splitting in the future. If your tooth is already broken down, a crown may be the most suitable option.
