Fillings
Fillings are a fast, simple and convenient way of repairing missing tooth structure, which is generally caused by tooth decay. Fillings are available in silver metal (amalgam) or Glass Ionomer on the NHS. These materials are cost-effective and quick to place. We have great dental therapists as part of our group to sort these fillings for you.
White cosmetic (composite) fillings are more biomechanically compatible with your natural teeth and are aesthetically pleasing. To achieve excellent composite fillings, dentists require additional post-graduate training so that patients can have the very best.
It can also be necessary to replace old fillings if they are worn down or broken. This can be the case with unsightly silver amalgam fillings which are not watertight. They can therefore leak and lead to further decay beneath the fillings themselves.
If you believe you have a hole or are in pain, you may require a filling. Please make an appointment as soon as possible, as if left too long, you may need more complex work.
