Clinical Buccal Therapy

Clinical Buccal Therapy is a specialist intra-oral and external therapy designed to help relieve muscular tension affecting the jaw, face and surrounding areas.

All treatments are delivered by our GDC-registered dental professionals known as Buccalists™ — specialists in Clinical Buccal Therapy.

Using precise manual therapy techniques, clinical buccal therapy targets deeper facial and jaw muscles, including the masseter and buccinator, which can be difficult to reach through external techniques alone.

Clinical buccal therapy may be particularly beneficial for patients experiencing:

  • Jaw tension and discomfort
  • Teeth clenching and grinding (bruxism)
  • Facial muscle tension
  • TMJ-related discomfort
  • Restricted or uncomfortable jaw movement
  • Headaches associated with muscular tension

By combining external and intra-oral techniques, treatment is designed to reduce muscular tension, ease discomfort, and support more comfortable jaw movement.

If you regularly experience jaw tension, clenching, grinding or facial discomfort, clinical buccal therapy could be the treatment you’ve been looking for.
